The implementation of action projects has started in Telavi

Within the framework of the project ‘’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ the implementation of student action projects has started in Telavi. Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University students: Ani Kurtsikidze, Tsitsia Kolotadze, Ana baghatrishvili, and Tamuna Noniashvili are implementing the action project ‘’Premature Marriage, Violence in the Name of Happiness’’ which aims to raise awareness about early marriage among young people, identify possible risks and disadvantages.

To achieve the aim of the project, students conducted a two-day training at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. within the framework of the action project, a training module was created, which includes the following topics: the role of the education system in the prevention of early marriage, the impact of early marriage on domestic violence, the institutional response to early marriage, early marriage and gender equality. The students discussed these issues during the training.

The training was conducted in an active question-and-answer mode and included practical tasks. Participants discussed specific situations related to early marriage and better understood the essence and consequences of early marriage.
