''Civic Engagement School 2021'' was launched in Telavi

On April 10 within the framework of the ‘’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ training was held at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.  the training topics were: civic society and advocacy campaigns. The training was led by Kakhaber Uriadmkopeli: a doctor of law, professor at the Georgian-American University, member of the Board of Directors of CELA.

During the training, Kakhaber Uriadmkopeli discussed the characteristics of an active citizen, the role of civic activism, and social change in the process of democratization. Participants discussed the cycle, factors, and consequences of social change in society.

The last session was more practical. Kakhaber Uriadmkopeli introduced participants to the aim and strategies of the advocacy campaign. The session included a practical task. Within the practical task, participants were divided into working groups. The discussed advocacy campaigns on current social problems in the community.
