'’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ members were trained on the advocacy campaign

On April 10, ‘’Civic Engagement School 2021’’ members of Tbilisi were trained on the advocacy campaign. The training was led by Tamta Chrikishvili: an invited lecturer at TSU and the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA).

The training included both theoretical and practical parts. Tamta Chrikishvili introduced participants to the purpose, types, and methods of the advocacy campaign. Based on empirical examples, the speaker reviewed the components of the advocacy campaign action plan. Tamta Chrikishvili emphasized the importance of defining communication strategy and target audience during the advocacy campaign.  Also, how to use social media and technology to lead a successful advocacy campaign.

The meeting was conducted in an active mode, each section included practical exercises. Within the practical exercises participants discussed specific social problems and advocacy campaigns based on visual analysis of posters. In the final part of the training, through the group presentations, Participants discussed how to solve current social problems through the advocacy campaign.
