The Civic Education Lecturers Association and the Zurab Zhvania Georgian Institute of Public Affairs Sign a Memorandum of Understanding

On December 29, 2014, the Civic Education Lecturers Association and the Zurab Zhvania Georgian Institute of Public Affairs School of Administration (GIPA) signed a memorandum of understanding that took place at the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science. Based on the Memorandum, both sides take the responsibility to promote civic education at GIPA and increase civic consciousness among public servants.

The teaching of a civic education course at GIPA was launched in October 2014.  The goal of the course is to introduce the notion of democracy and democratic principles to the public servants, explore definitions of the relationship between the State and the individual, develop basic civic skills, and provide relevant information.
